Usage:

- Drag and drop MP3 files from Windows Explorer into the MAD frontend file list or press the "Add files" button and put files on the list with the "Open" dialog.
- Select the kind of output you want in the "Output" box. If you want to decode to wav files select "wave".
- Optional: Type the options you want to use. For normal decoding you don't need to use any options. Do not use the -o option (=output), because that is already used by default. You can select the output in the "Output" box.
- Optional: Select an output directory when you decode to wav files. If you leave the output directory box empty the wav files will be put in the same directory as the input files are in.
- Press "Decode"
- Note that all that the MAD frontend does is create a batch file (named: madfront.bat). This is done on the moment you press the "Decode" button. So after that you can safely close the MAD frontend.

----------------

You get this error: "frame #: lost synchronization". The madplay man page says this about it:

"If encountered at the beginning of a file, this
means the file contains something other than an
ID3v2 tag before the MPEG audio data. If encoun-
tered in the middle of a file, it may mean the file
is corrupt. This message is most commonly encoun-
tered, however, at the end of a file if the file
contains an ID3v1 tag that is not aligned to an
MPEG audio frame boundary. In this case, the mes-
sage is harmless and may be ignored."

Problems:

- If you get an error when you try to run the MAD frontend you need the Visual Basic 6 Runtime files. Get it here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe
- If you have not installed any Microsoft Office product it will probably ask for the file mscomctl.ocx. You can get it here:
